Recombinant Therapeutic Proteins
Process of forming the recombinant protein is called recombinant technology. Various processes were involved to produce large quantities of modified proteins, alter gene sequences and produce commercial products. Monoclonal Antibodies
A specific antibody is produced when tumour cells (Uncontrolled growth and replication) are fused with mammalian cells and forms hybridoma which continuously produces antibodies, and these are called monoclonal antibodies since its generated from a single type of cell. Genetic Material
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the genetic material that carries information for the growth and function of all living organisms. It is made up of nucleotides with a backbone consists of sugars and phosphate groups. Based on the requirement, DNA is stored in short term (weeks at 4°C), medium-term (Months at –80°C) and long term (years at –80°C and –164°C ) storage. These DNA can be stored in CellStor freezing bags at low temperature.

Vaccines
Weakened or killed form of a microbe is administered to develop the immunity to a specific disease called Vaccine. The immune system considers as foreign material (antigen) and destroys them but the body’s immune system remembers them for the future encounter from the wild one (pathogen). Various ways of administration which includes intramuscular, sub-cutaneous, intradermal, oral and intra nasal.

Currently, novel cell-based cancer vaccine such as dendritic cell vaccine is in the limelight for therapeutic purpose. Cellular components are biological materials which includes macromolecules such as polypeptides (proteins), nucleic acids, membranes and organelles.
