The Bone Marrow Collection Bag is used to filter aspirated bone marrow for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation
The Bone Marrow Collection (BMC) kit is a closed system designed to allow the optimal processing of Bone Marrow Aspiration (BMA) samples to ensure efficient refinement of the sample for therapeutic use. The kit is equipped with dual pre-filters to eliminate debris and large aggregates from BMAs. The separated bone marrow after pre-filtration is passed through an in-line filter to eliminate micro aggregates before collection in a transfer or freezing bag as required.

Bone Marrow Collection and Filtration
The Bone Marrow Collection kit with flexible pre-filters and inline filters is a sterile, single-use disposable closed system. The collection and post-filtration containers are manufactured from flexible, medical-grade PVC material which is widely used for blood component collection, processing, and storage. There are convenient needle-free sites pre and post-filtration for easy sampling.
Filtered bone marrow cells are received either in 600 mL Transfer bags or 500 mL CellStor Freezing bags.
The collection bag has a large surface area, and flexible 800 and 500-micron pre-filters leading to an easily swappable in-line 175-micron filter. This configuration is designed for efficient removal of debris, and large and small aggregates/ clumps while maintaining a high flow rate.

Application
Processed BMA has been successfully used in the treatment of lethal diseases like cancer. BMA is a good source of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and Haematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) which are used to treat leukaemia, aplastic anaemia and blood related diseases. Transplantation of HSCs, especially autologous transplantation has benefited many recovering from high dose chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy for cancers.

Advantages
Efficient Filtration
Presence of 3 large surface area filters allows efficient gravity flow filtration without clogging.
The 800 and 500 micron pre-filters are integrated into the collection bag itself and are used to eliminate large aggregates.
Easy Sample Manipulation
Compartmentalisation of the collection bag separates the collection compartment from the pre-filters, allowing thorough mixing with anticoagulant without risk of filter inversion.
Low Contamination Risk
Collection bag has a locking lid for the sample injection opening. This creates a closed filtration system and reduces the risk of contamination.
Closed sample processing system also prevents leaks and loss of BMA sample by eliminating the need for additional tubing/filter connections.
Multiple Collection Options
The collection kit enables easy collection of the processed bone marrow cells in either transfer or freezing bags.
CellStor® freezing bags are used for storing processed bone marrow stem cells to treat various disorders.
All the materials and components meet the requirements of FDA regulation 21 CFR, USP Class VI, ISO 10993 and EC directives

CellStor® Freezing bags are gamma sterilized, single-use bags for Cryopreservation and Low Temperature Storage Applications
CellStor® freezing bags are are used to store haematopoietic stem cells from bone marrow as well as mesenchymal stem cells which are used to treat various disorders. CellStor freezing bags are pre-assembled, closed systems that facilitate ideal freezing and thawing processes for cell/gene/tissue therapy applications. They are specially designed for controlled freezing, thawing, and long-term cryo storage.
CellStor® Transfer Bags
CellBios® CellStor® transfer bags are made of special medical grade PVC, DEHP-free PVC, and Special grade high molecular weight EVA.
The CellStor® Transfer Bags are used to collect, Process, and transfer the blood and blood components, cell and cellular components, and also aid in other applications. Transfer bags offers flexibility for various applications and are available in different configurations. All equipment and tools engaged in manufacturing CellStor bags go through appropriate validation procedures. CellStor Transfer bags are validated to store up to -80°C.
