CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags
CellStor® Cell Culture Bags are specially made for culturing, addition and passaging of cells.
CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are specialized containers used for culturing cells in a controlled environment. They are made from a material called fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) (CSF514), which offers several advantages for cell growth.
CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are single-use, easy-to-handle suspension cell/non-adherent cell culture device used in biotech and pharma industries and research facilities. They are used for cell expansion, and differentiation (primary cells and cell lines).
CellStor® Cell Culture Bags are custom-made for both expansion and differentiation in a variety of volumes. The film allows maximum gas exchange (O2 and CO2) making it suitable for cell growth in a confined environment.
Features
Amplified sampling: Integrated sampling ports allow for easy retrieval of cell cultures for analysis without compromising the sterility of the closed system.
Complete Culture Harvest: The unique internal design promotes complete transfer of the culture medium during harvesting, maximizing cell yield.
Unreactive and Biocompatible: FEP material is chemically inert and will not react with cells or buffer solutions within the bag, ensuring minimal interference with cell growth.
Safe and Efficient Processing: The design features of FEP Cell Culture Bags contribute to a safe and efficient culturing workflow.
Scalability for Diverse Applications: The availability of various bag sizes allows researchers to use CellStor Cell Culture Bag for small-scale experiments or large-scale production in bioreactors.
Sterile and Ready-to-Use: Each bag is individually packaged and pre-sterilized, eliminating the need for separate sterilization procedures, saving time, and reducing contamination risks.
High Cell Density Cultures: CellStor® Cell Culture Bags are suitable for achieving high-density cell cultures, which is beneficial for large-scale production applications.
Enhanced Gas Exchange: The increased gas permeability of FEP facilitates optimal oxygen supply for cellular respiration and efficient removal of carbon dioxide waste.
Unobstructed Cell Visualization: The film’s transparency allows for direct microscopic observation of cells within the bag, eliminating the need for sample removal and potential contamination.
Non-toxic tubing material: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags with PVC tubings made from non-toxic DEHP-free material help carryout cell culture safely.
Advantages
Superior biocompatibility: Minimizes unwanted interactions between the bag and cells, leading to robust cell growth and more reliable results.
Enhanced gas permeability: Bag allows for more efficient gas exchange which is crucial for optimal cell function.
Wider temperature tolerance: Bag can withstand a broader range of temperatures, from very low (cryopreservation) to high (sterilization).
High-density cell yield in mass cell culture: CellStor® Cell Culture Bags are suitable for achieving high-density cell cultures, which is beneficial for large-scale production applications.
Application
Monoclonal antibody production: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are ideal for large-scale culturing of mammalian cells used for monoclonal antibody production, a critical component in many therapeutic drugs.
Vaccine production: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are used for the large-scale expansion of viral or cellular vaccines.
Cell therapy: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are suitable for culturing cells for cell therapy applications, a promising area of medicine that involves using modified cells to treat diseases.
Stem cell research: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are used to grow stem cells for research purposes.
Production of recombinant proteins: CellStor® FEP Cell Culture Bags are used for culturing engineered cells that produce valuable recombinant proteins for research and therapeutic applications.
